Device sync

Understand connected readings

Plain-language help for connecting supported blood pressure, weight, and glucose services. Device connection controls belong in My Kidney Numbers under Data connections.

1

How device sync works

If you choose to connect a supported service, NeFora may receive readings such as blood pressure, weight, or blood sugar values from that service.

2

What sync does not mean

Connecting a device does not mean your doctor, clinic, or care team is watching readings in real time.

3

Manual entry remains available

You can still enter readings manually if syncing is delayed, unsupported, or not preferred.

4

Source labels

Readings may show labels such as Manual, Withings, or Dexcom so the origin is clear.

5

Disconnecting

Disconnecting stops future imports; previously imported readings may remain according to applicable record-retention rules.

When to contact your care team

If a reading is concerning or you feel unwell, it is more important to seek help than to keep trying to sync data.

Repeated unusually high or low blood pressure readings, especially with symptoms.
Sudden weight changes that may matter for swelling or fluid balance.
Repeated high or low blood sugar readings, or symptoms of hypoglycemia or severe hyperglycemia.
Chest pain, shortness of breath, severe headache, fainting, or anything that feels urgent.

If you think you are having an emergency, call 911 or seek urgent medical attention immediately.
